As a lover of Natural Perfume and niche Perfumes I have often felt frustrated by wanting to smell like my lovely perfume but needing to use bodycare products that are not offerered by many perfume companies such as a natural lotion, a natural deodorant, shampoo, conditioner, soap, the normal, everyday stuff.
I had been communicating for awhile with a friendly and knowledgable new friend Sonsa Rae when I broached this problem. Sonsa, who makes a line of all natural skincare, body care and artisan soap, assured me that any of her products can be made unscented, and, to my astonishment, made-to-order in scents other than what is listed. Now, TRULY unscented products, products that I would want to use, are hard to come by. I prefer all natural personal care products, especially skincare as what you apply to your skin everyday, on large (or delicate) areas of skin is absorbed “eaten” by your skin. I ordered Sonsa’s Luxurious Body Lotion and the Replenishing Hand Lotion. Although I like both; my preference is for the slightly heavier Luxurious Body Lotion which includes shea butter. I love the application, easy and light, and the result, hydrated and nourished. Lovely! I have to say that the Luxurious Body Lotion is not listed as “unscented” but the extreme lightness of the vanilla and cinnamon- would never interfere with any perfume. Vanilla has been used for decades as an “unscent” even (according to biodynamic vanilla farmer Henry Karczynski at Villa Vanilla Costa Rica) in plain alcohol and in many products one would never think would have any kind of scent added. Sonsa’s light touch with the body lotion is truly perfect. BTW, I have also been using the Luxurious Body Lotion as an “after tattoo” hydrating skin healer.
Freshly Natural Luxurious Body Lotion by Sonsa Rae Skincare is Nice and light but rich at the same time. This lotion is perfect for use right after the shower on every area of your body. Pure essential oils of cinnamon & vanilla absolute smell good enough to eat. But don’t!
Contains: Distilled Water, Extra Light Olive Oil, Vegetable Emulsifier, Palm Stearic Acid, Unrefined Shea Butter, Vegetable Glycerin, Natural Preservative, Cinnamon Essential Oil and Vanilla Absolute. No artificial anything.

Sonsa’s products are top of the line!!! When she does ‘go scented’ the results are as remarkable in their own way. She is a true ‘alchemistress’ . : )
Thank you Dabney! That’s very sweet of you to say. I’m so glad you like the lotion Skye! I love it too. The idea behind the scent for it was a cup of warm milk with a bit of vanilla and a sprinkle of cinnamon. It’s very soothing and comforting – nice before bedtime!!
Sonsa Rae’s Lotion works really well, and is so light “deliciously milky” on the scent that it works perfectly for me as a “staple” when it comes to lotion. Thanks Sonsa!
