White Flowers for the Royal Wedding Series #7 The Perfume KEY to Paradise ~ SERJ ~ by Justine Crane for the Scented Djinn

I annoint my boy with love

and sweet perfume

he is so precious to me

one look in those eyes and I am lost

Serj

Head Notes ~ orange essence, aglaia flower, violet leaf, coriander seed and frankincense carterii.
Heart Notes ~ hand tinctured blue hyacinth flowers, osmanthus, clove and jasmine auriculatum.
Base Notes ~ ruh khus, patchouli, oakmoss, labdanum, Siam benzoin, vanilla and fir balsam.

Justine’s words: I used some of my favorite essences, fir balsam, ruh khus (copper distilled vetiver), hyacinth and orange juice essence. It all started with the fir balsam and hyacinth, though. To me those two together were stunning.

Then I added in the ruh khus to make it more male, and the orange juice essence to add a little sparkle. I guess it just seems very masculine to me, or what I think masculine is — a combination of strength and vulnerability. I don’t know. Like a really cool guy who isn’t afraid to say how he feels?

It smells amazing on boys and girls :) I wear it, and so does my son, and it’s completely different on us — his goes more musky and animalic, while mine shines with jammy fir and orange juice.

Monica: On me SERJ is green and floral, with orange crystals bursting…an altogether charming, happy, joyful fragance. I love the … playing in nature feel… you know, adult play…

Serj is an innocent, sweet fragrance.  It could be worn by all ages of boys, girls.

The construction is stellar, seamless. Justine’s hand tinctured Blue Hyacinth flowers lend a blue green depth to this love potion..and the fir needles…take you far into the magical forest…

What the uninitiated will appreciate is the wild joy of it…

Serj

take me with you

take me to the paradise

I know I would feel in your arms

there goes my Hero

watch him as he goes

We have a DRAW ending April 2nd.. 3 commentors will win a precious sample of SERJ.by the Scented Djinn You must be signed up for perfume Pharmer’s feed to be eligable for our draws.

Disclosure: Justine kindly sent me a sample of Serj for my review. This perfume review is a PEER REVIEW, meaning that Perfumers and owners of related business may choose to celebrate a perfume constructed by a PEER, a fellow perfumer know personally to the reviewer or not known personally to the reviewer. I, Monica Miller, own an herbal business and I love to follow my bliss by reviewing perfumes and soaps from my peers.

Serj is an all natural perfume

Copper distilled vetiver….I am intrigued by that and wondering if I’ve ever experienced this in another perfume. Green and floral….perfect for spring. If it ever takes arrives.

The perfume sounds good…I can smell it right away …I would love to give a shot at it…Hopefully it gives men a new character to be looked upon around… :)

I’ve signed up, not only because the site (on which I’ve lurked) appeals, but because Justine’s “Serj” notes float my boat:-)

too much temptation for me to try to resist – please include me in the draw.

Many thanks,

I’m sure you’ll all agree that who Justine and Monica are really talking about in their mouthwatering reviews is me. Therefore, I beg to be put in the drawing. Por favor :)

Skye 03/31/2011 at 8:25 pm

Divine Lover's Sacred Fool 04/01/2011 at 8:41 pm

Maybe I didn’t love you
Quite as often as I could have
Maybe I didn’t treat you
Quite as good as I should have
If I made you feel second best
Girl, I’m sorry I was blind

You were always on my mind
You were always on my mind

Skye 04/01/2011 at 9:20 pm

Little Prince, Little Prince, you were always on MY mind
you were always on my mind…

Many years can pass before I see him
The one that will walk with me
Down flowered paths
Deserted canyon floors
& deeply forested groves
And in the twist of destiny
To meet the other we become
Wet with the flavor of life–
The essence of love…
