Well dear Sisters,
If you were intending to brew a love potion to break through all barriers you have succeeded. Does not your own power frighten you? It should. Upon smelling Immortal Mine I am at once alarmed, tantalized and brutalized by my own desire…
I consider it a little unfair to not be warned. Although perhaps, methinks, you really didn’t understand the depth of the magic the two of you imagined into being.
This potion takes no prisoners.
I asked my unconscious mind… what does this scent remind me of?
…and…without missing a heartbeat my one self replied to my self…
I was cracked open by this scent
my inner sap released
along with the blood and the anger
a passion immortal
a passion immortal
was set free from the cavern
the broken person
I pass by everyday
the one that catches me by surprise every time
today I stopped and looked
looked at the broken person
closely
I was surprised
at how small she was
so small in comparison
to my imagination
and really rather delicate
like a little bird
or dried flower
or a small bone picked clean
I suggest a little tag on your bottle
a warning
because this magic is real
it is a real love potion
a nautilus
a living fossil
the ancient amber you put in this perfume
tree sap
inner sap
releases the passion inside
please be careful
it is a precious commodity
and only a little is needed
to
be inside
the spell.

ingredients list for Immortal Mine:
Soil from an unmarked grave. One single drop of blood from a slayed Wyvern, the sweet elixir of dying jasmine and fading neroli. Amber found in ancient tombs of civilizations lost. Longing. Essence of smoke from the funeral pyre. A cut of material from Bela Lugosi’s cape, the dust from a bat’s wing. Wood resins gathered from the Forest of The Dead, Myrrh scraped from the cliffs of The Dark Realm. Precious ouds unearthed from burning desert sands. Wax dripping from black, white, and pink candles, ashes of a Phoenix, words from a dead poet’s mouth. Rare herbs found in a cathedral’s forgotten garden. Desire.

Amazing and Powerful stuff Monica. Beautifully composed
Thanks for weaving the spell…
Gorgeous prose poem, lovely to see you all so inspired by the Clarimonde story, which affects me all the more now since these perfumes have been made to distill the passions it describes
