Fragrance Notes: Green fig, vanilla, cedar, patchouli, tonka, musk.
Available in eau de parfum, body silk lotion, and shea body cream.
Perfumer’s Comments: Many fig scents have strong coconut notes from the creamy lactones that are often used in fig accords. In Fig Tree, I chose to minimize the coconut rather than to accentuate it. I envisioned a perfume that would evoke the various aspects of a fig tree in summer, with green, fruity, creamy, and woodsy notes.
Monica: My favorite experience with FIG TREE by Sonoma Scent Studio was the shea body creme. Thick and rich and lavishly perfumed the creme absorbs beautifully leaving a wonderful aroma on the hands or wherever one has applied it. Great value for money a little goes a long way, as with the perfumes from SSS. Fig Tree indeed opens with a lovely green leafy canopy and reveals over time the creamy fruit and woody strength. It is fruity and vaguely floral but Gentlemen would be well gifted with this fragrance as perfectly as women. Laurie Erickson’s perfumes have a sillage and longevity to be remarked upon. Fig Tree is a fun, lively fragrance with “inner strength”.
