Hi, I’m Monica, Monica Miller, Monica Skye, Monica Skye Miller or just Skye. I live on Martha’s Vineyard Island running my business Skye Botanicals , gardening many flowers and herbs, and writing Perfume Pharmer as a hobby and as a really fun way of connecting with fragrance enthusiasts and perfumers all over the world. My background includes 16+ years of total immersion in natural products formulation, natural perfumery, aromatherapy, organic gardening, permaculture and natural healing of many disciplines. I am a certified teacher of Gabrielle Roth’s 5 Rhythms, a certified Massage Therapist, have 16 years experience running my own business and have raised two beautiful healthy children.I am a self confessed Bi-Scentual. That means I like both 100% natural perfumes and blended natural/synthetic fragrances. Inasmuch as one tends more toward one than the other I tend heavily toward the natural in my preferences. There are times however I simply adore blended fragrances. My title on Perfume Pharmer is: Pharm Marm.
Justine Crane has been a quiet but strong presence in the Natural Botanical Perfume and skin care world since 1996. It has been said that she walks softly and carries a big scent strip. Natural Botanical Perfumery is a lifestyle for Justine, one whose journey started at a young age. Blending juniper berries and pine sap into a sort of Native American kyphi, a passion for all things botanical was ignited, and that flame continues to burn today. Justine is an author, teacher, student, and novice herbalist who has led perfumery and soap making classes and writers workshops. Largely self taught, Justine has studied perfumery, herbalism, aromatherapy, and Pranic healing. Justine constitutes one third of an experimental education and practical application triumverate of Natural Botanical Perfumers. Proprietress of The Scented Djinn Perfumery, her accomplishments are legion: Editor in Chief of the much lauded Le Parfumeur Rebelle, a blog dedicated to the mavericks ofthe Natural Botanical Perfume world, as well as contributor to Nature’s Nexus and Bella Online, and perfume instructor with the Natural Perfume Academy/Nature’s Nexus Academy of Perfuming Arts (NNAPA). Justine continues to pursue her interests in Natural Botanical Perfumery and soap making and has begin a series of Natural Botanical Perfume and Soap Making scent events and exhibitions in and around her home town of Fresno, CA.Justine resides in Central California surrounded by four clamorous generations of family and various sundry four legged beasties.Justine Crane’s Titles on Perfume Pharmer are Rebel Perfumer, Columnist for Perfumers To Watch, and A Natural Perfumery Teacher’s Perspective.

Donna Hathaway, Contributor: I have been a regular contributor for Perfume-Smellin’ Things since 2007, and before that I wrote for Aromascope. I have been seriously in love with perfume for many years, with a strong interest in both the classic houses and naturals, which ties in to my love of gardening and especially of fragrant plants, which I seek out constantly. I live in the green and lush Pacific Northwest with five cats and a large organic garden, and when I am not working at my day job in commercial insurance I enjoy testing and writing about fragrances, reading, working in my garden and plant-hunting at our wonderful regional nurseries. There is so much to learn about perfume that I will never run out of topics to write about or new olfactory experiences to have, and I feel fortunate to be able to share my love of fragrance with others through my writing.
