Qi is the flow of energy that moves and motivates the universe.

I was lucky enough to be able to speak with Dr. Matthew Weston DMQ. I asked him for a definition of the energetic origin of breast cancer according to medical Qigong perspective. This is what he wrote.

When looking at breast cancer and for that matter all forms of cancer, Medical Qigong looks not only at environmental factors, toxic exposure and hereditary influences but also includes the traditional Chinese medical perspective (TCM) of toxic emotional energy.

In Medical Qigong and TCM theory stored or repressed emotional energy is considered to be a major factor leading towards cyst, tumor and cancer development.

In terms of breast cancer the most common influences are stored grief energy in the lungs combined with held anger energy in the liver and fear in the kidneys.

The unexpressed unhealed emotions cause stagnation in the energetic channels of the body and in cases where the individual’s constitution is not strong enough cysts, tumors and cancer may ultimately develop.

Medical Qigong uses structural alignment, breathing practices, sound emission therapy as well as dynamic and quiescent meditation to facilitate the release of stagnant emotional energy and facilitate healing.

Summoning

The moment at dawn

when the crows wake up,

when the light strikes them,

and they start calling to one another

one after the other

crow to crow

Their voices are signal fires made of sound.

When the light strikes the crow,

it turns to conversation:

What did you do last night?

What did you dream?

What are we to do to-day?

Does the light cause the sound,

or the sound cause the light?

The sound caws the light.

In India, they say the universe was made of sound.

In Israel, they say the universe was made of light first, and letters.

What is the difference between a star with planets, and a sun?

A star becomes a sun

when it pulls the life of any creature.

A star gets to be a sun

when life is involved.

The crows are translating

light into sound.

The crows are converting

life into noise.

And light becomes sound through the instrument of crow.

My attention counts the caws, this omen—

four voices, four calls, four crows.

What will be my fate?

What am I to do to-day?

The crows are instrumental to the dawn.

Star becomes sun when life is involved.

Light becomes voice when breath is involved.

Breath is the mediator of light and sound.

Do the crows call the sun or does the sun call the crows?

Before the sun rises, the crows are not there.

But if the crows do not call, it means the sun is not there.

One creates the other.

My breath converts light into letters.

It’s a crow morning.

Massive Patchouli & Lilacs and Heliotrope ~ Soivohle, Liz Zorn Perfumes ~ review Justine Crane

I carry Massive Patchouli in my left pocket, Lilacs and Heliotrope in my right. On occasion, I will reach into one or the other pocket, pull out the beautiful little bottle, pull off the cap and snorfle the spray nozzle. That is, when I haven’t chosen which to wear for the day. Once the decision’s made, I spray. And spray. And spray. I’m sure my co-workers who have the misfortune of passing by me on their way in and out of the office have wondered why I always reek – good or bad, not a day goes by that I am not cloaked in a mist of perfume. Of late, it’s been all good, thanks to Ms. Zorn.

Massive Patchouli is definitely massive, but not just patchouli. Oh, she’s in there, that patchouli girl, with her boxing gloves on, punching through the layers of powdery amber and sweet vanilla. It is a simple scent with layers of complexity. One moment you’re overwhelmed by a smoky, earthy patchouli, and the next she’s all about wrapping her arms around you and breathing sweet amber into your hair.

Fragrance Notes : Bergamot, Oakmoss, Woods, Musk, Patchouli, Vanilla, Vetiver, Cedarwood

Lilacs & Heliotrope is, at first sniff, not my usual style. Big flowers scare me, like loud, confident people who call you out on your passivity and inadvertently (or not) put you in the spotlight. When you wear Lilacs & Heliotrope, there is no hiding your light under a bushel. You’re there and everybody knows it. There are big, sweet lilacs here with a whole lotta fruity tartness and hazy green notes thrown in. I love it. It’s ultra feminine, super bold and somehow manages to steer clear of cloying. I get marzipan and spring lilacs and vanilla pudding and . . . mmmm, love. It never fails to lighten the mood and brighten the day in a cloud of luscious purpleness.

Sweet, sultry, swoon. It’s all that! We hold nothing back with this one, A straight up big flower punch of lilacs, with two accords Purple (Persian) Lilacs and the more carnal White Lilac. Add to that an opening of Fresh Green Leaves and Bergamot. Additional notes include Purple Orchids, Heliotrope, Benzoin Siam, Green Moss, Civet, Musk and Natural Vanilla.
