Hang on for a wild ride this month. Venus ends her retrograde period on September 6. You’ll be able to look back over the summer and draw some conclusions about what she was teaching you.
There are two eclipses in September. A Solar eclipse on September 13 occurs at 20 degrees of Virgo. The lunar eclipse is on September 27 at 4 degrees of Aries. If you have a Sun, Moon, or Ascendant at those degrees you can expect a big change in your life. The area of the chart near those degrees will be unsettled.
Mercury starts his retrograde period on September 17. He will be retrograde until October 9, moving backwards from 15-0 degrees of Libra. This is his last retrograde time in 2015. He will ask you to review and revise all your relationships and how you act when involved with another person.
Saturn leaves Scorpio and reenters Sagittarius also on September 17. He remains in Sagittarius challenging us with new lessons until end of December 2017. He gave us hints to what he is asking of you when he popped into Sagittarius from January to June. Now he moves on with determination to get you to do it the right way.
The Autumnal Equinox occurs on September 23 this year.
September 1 – Moon in Aries, VC 12:37 pm. It’s an exciting, high-energy day. You will be creative in all that you do so choose to actions that benefit from your ingenuity. You can do anything you set your mind to. You have the courage to handle hard tasks and say uncomfortable things. Start your tasks in the morning. Be sure to exercise in the afternoon and challenge your personal best.
September 2 – Moon in Taurus. You’ll be fortunate in all that you touch. Shop for food to preserve for the winter. Tend to your garden and put in Fall shrubs. Look for bargains in the end of season sales, especially on clothes, jewelry, and art. Go through your possessions to see what to get rid of so you can redecorate your home and office. It’s a good night to hear some live music.
September 3 – Moon in Taurus. Reevaluate your financial situation and see what changes you want to make next week when Venus goes direct. Grab a bit of summer laziness and enjoy lying around or strolling outdoors. Let your sensuous side lead the way and pamper your senses with the tastes and smells you love the most. Buy some sexy underwear.
September 4 – Moon in Gemini. You’ll be moving a lot faster now and can catch up on emails and texts that you’ve read but not answered. Keep to the short tasks and do as many as you can, often many at the same time. It’s a good day to shop for school supplies. Update the software on your phone, tablet, and computer. Get together with friends tonight and play word games.
September 5- Moon in Gemini, VC 7:04 pm. Take some short trips this holiday weekend. Visit siblings and cousins and the friends who make you feel good. Stay out of the garden unless you want to weed or harvest. Save any planting for tomorrow. You can make some fundamental changes in your attitudes and worldview, so do some serious thinking.
September 6 – Moon VC Gemini, enters Cancer 1:40 pm. Venus stops and turns into direct motion early this morning. Look back on the past seven weeks and see what has changed, what people came back to you, either in real time or in your mind or in your dreams. Do you still want what you wanted in July? Spend the afternoon and evening with family.
September 7 – Moon in Cancer. Rest in the comfort of home and family. Use today as a transition between the busyness of summer and the back to school/work feeling that lies ahead. Check your smoke alarm batteries and think about keeping your home secure. Decide what new items you want to buy for the house and what repairs are needed so that you can make the phone calls tomorrow to make it happen.
September 8 – Moon in Cancer, VC from 9:28 pm until 10:36 pm when it enters Leo. It’s a day to embrace the new and use those odd ideas that have been settling down in your mind. Leave your fears behind and vow to yourself that they won’t hold you back from the excitement of growth. Do some canning, preserving, and freezing of the fresh produce you buy to stock up for the winter.
September 9 – Moon in Leo. Take the lessons that Venus taught you during her retrograde period and apply them to your life. It may be appropriate to let go of people and things. You may have to negotiate new contracts and make adjustments to the patterns in your relationships. If you do it with love it will turn out all right.
September 10 – Moon in Leo. Remember that Mercury goes retrograde a week from today so do what you need to do before it happens. Help the kids get accustomed to going back to school and give them a special treat this afternoon to encourage them to do good work. Shop for presents you need to buy and get yourself something nice.
September 11 – Moon in Leo, VC from 9 am until 9:56 am when it enters Virgo. Today is a very good day to work, so don’t waste it by procrastinating. Your mind is clear and sharp and you will speak well. It’s a good day to try for the new job you want or to hire the right employee. Make your orders and buy communication equipment today. Get the car serviced and make your doctor appointments.
September 12 – Moon in Virgo. This is the weekend to do a major clean-up and put away the summer stuff. Tidy up the yard and garden, but don’t plant. Recycle all those bottles and piles of cardboard and magazines. It’s a day to fix, fix and fix. You can figure out how to heal some old wounds and help others. It’s the dark of the moon before an eclipse, do a special healing ritual.
September 13 – Moon in Virgo. The new moon is eclipsed which makes the energy of the day unstable. On the day of a solar eclipse the past obscures the present and there is an opportunity to get rid of the broken pieces of your past. It is an auspicious day for all types of spiritual pursuits. It is a day when meditation and prayers have a great effect. Visualize yourself as whole and in good health before you fall asleep tonight.
September 14 – Moon in Libra. You will still feel the shakiness that follows an eclipse. Prepare for the coming Mercury retrograde and put things in order. Buy any big-ticket items that you want to have right away. Sign contracts after you review them one more time. Make decisions about handling your investments and assets.
September 15 – Moon in Libra. It’s a good day to find a balance in your life, your relationship, and your business. This is the last change to negotiate with a clear mind for the next three weeks. Take time to socialize with friends and co-workers. Strengthen a bond of friendship among those you see everyday. Help those who are at odds to make peace.
September 16 – Moon VC Libra, enters Scorpio 11:43 am. Besides being the last day before Mercury turns retrograde, it is the last day when Saturn is in Scorpio. You have today to let go of dark thoughts and come to terms with what is. You must let go of what is over and done with. Take care of what is valuable to you, both on the physical and emotional plane.
September 17 – Moon in Scorpio. Mercury turns retrograde at 2:10 pm. He stands still all day and tells you to stay quiet and listen, not act. Saturn enters Sagittarius where he will be for the next two and a half years. Jupiter and Neptune connect and urge you to focus on helping those in need and to vow to do more service work. Today is the kind of day when you need to ride the waters of the day and not try to direct your journey.
September 18 – Moon in Scorpio, VC 3:49. You can still feel the change in the energy and see that the currents are still merging. Wait until next week to do any important work. Finish up what must be done and start your weekend early. Get any planting you want to do done today as the weekend has a barren moon. It’s a good night to catch up on your sleep.
September 19 – Moon in Sagittarius. Get out of the house and roam around this weekend. Leave your worries, chores, obligations, and responsibilities for Monday. The next two days are for having new experiences and going somewhere you’ve never been. Find a workshop to take to study something new that will challenge you.
September 20 – Moon in Sagittarius. You’ll have too much energy to just sit around so call a friend or two and go have an adventure. There must be something that you wanted to do this summer but never got around to doing it. This is the weekend for making those dreams come true. Be brave and bold and have a good time.
September 21 – Moon VC Sagittarius, enters Capricorn 8:33 am. You’ll come down to earth and want to get back to business. There is great energy for working long hours filled with concentration and focus. Review the numbers from summer sales and think back on how you felt about your work and then see what you can do to revise your schedule.
September 22 – Moon in Capricorn, VC 7:13 pm. Today is the last day of Virgo and the last day of Summer. Take advantage of the emphasis on earth energy by working as much as you can. You won’t feel this ambitious for a while. Use this day to reorganize, discard, reduce and combine the things that seem excessive. Do something out of the ordinary and exciting tonight.
September 23 – Moon VC Capricorn, enters Aquarius 1:51 pm. The Sun enters Libra at 4:21 am. Today is the Autumnal Equinox, a day to make balance in all aspects of your life. You can stabilize your foundation and clear up the dangling loose ends. Think back on this past summer and see what you learned about yourself and what makes you happy.
September 24 – Moon in Aquarius. You’ll be thinking a lot and your mind will tend towards seeing the big picture. Mars ends his time in Leo and enters Virgo tonight. Let your creativity flow today. You will feel the challenge to speak the truth and correct what others say if they are wrong. You will hear some things you don’t want to know.
September 25 – Moon VC Aquarius, enters Pisces 3:44 am. Pluto moves into direct motion today. This is always a big energy switch that can bring about a major event. It’s best to slow down and do as little as possible since the energy is so unstable with the lunar eclipse two days away. Whatever you let go of will stay gone. Consider which of your visions can be made real.
September 26 – Moon in Pisces, VC 12:32 pm. Don’t even try to think straight or attempt anything that needs linear thinking. Today is sandwiched between yesterday when Pluto changed direction and tomorrow’s lunar eclipse. You need to float, literally and figuratively, and drift down the currents of the day. Just relax and let your worries take a day off. This is a special time when you can get rid of unhappy memories.
September 27 – Moon VC Pisces, enters Aries 3:29 pm. Tonight’s full moon is the harvest moon and is eclipsed. It gives you an opportunity to wipe out something in your life that still bothers you and to start fresh. It inspires you fight the negativity in your mind and soul and to move towards light and love. It is an auspicious day for meditation and all spiritual practices.
September 28 – Moon in Aries. Take a deep breath and try to pull your life together, as it may feel fragmented by now. Be aware that Mercury is retrograde for another two weeks. Put yourself first and know that it’s okay to be a bit selfish today. You don’t want to be distracted or slowed down by anyone once you get going on what you’re doing.
September 29 – Moon VC Aries, enters Taurus 2:57 pm. Wait until the afternoon when earth energy takes over to get anything of importance done. Continue on with yesterday’s projects but don’t start any new ones. Life will start to calm down now that we are past the eclipses. Start to enjoy the Fall.
September 30 – Moon in Taurus. Today is the middle of this retrograde Mercury phase. It is a day when your mind will be flooded with ideas, mostly practical ones. Write them down so you can act on them when Mercury is moving forward again. Do tomorrow’s work today. Shop for produce that you can cook up and freeze. Forget the diet tonight and indulge.
