The DevilScent Project ~ A Perfume Project Inspired by Quantum Demonology ~ a Novel by Sheila Eggenberger
When the Devil makes a Faustian bargain with an aspiring writer, he seals the deal – with a perfume!
The Devilscent Project is a brand-new multimedia endeavor standing in the crossroads between a 21st-century Faustian tale, the perfume blogosphere and six exceptional indie perfumers, all with their unque interpretations of…the Devil’s Scent. Inspired by the novel Quantum Demonology by perfume blogger Sheila Eggenberger of The Alembicated Genie, join them as they explore the nature of good and evil, ambition and perdition, sin, sex…and scent.
Perfumers Ellen Covey (Olympic Orchids) Neil Morris (Neil Morris Fragrances), Amanda Feeley (Esscentual Alchemy) Monica Miller (Perfume Pharmer) Kedra Hart (Opus Oils) and Maria McElroy and Alexis Karl (Aroma M/Cherry Bomb Killer Perfumes/Scents by Alexis) have each created their own olfactory imaginings of the novel’s Devil and his much-aggrieved wife, Lilith, Queen of the Succubi. These will in turn be interpretated by ten perfume bloggers and writers as they all explore what really happens at a crossroads at midnight, and whether it’s true – that even you can be persuaded by the Devil in disguise and by… a perfume!
Would you be able to resist..the Devil’s scent?
The Devilscent Project is also an experiment in social media to spotlight some of the best indie perfumers out there – follow it as it evolves on Twitter by using the hashtag #devilscent
